Russ The Story Bus Visits Athelstane

Today we welcomed Russ the Story Bus to Athelstane Public School. Our Stage 1 students were delighted with this vibrant travelling library, and they were also lucky enough to get to choose a book from Russ to take home and treasure. Author, Jeremy Lachlan, delighted us with his ideas on how to write a great adventure story and our students had a lovely time exploring their chosen books and relaxing on the colourful bean bags. The quality of books our students received was very high with many notable authors and illustrators donating to this amazing initiative from the Sydney Writers Festival. Many thanks to Russ and all the team for this wonderful opportunity for our students.
